পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 0; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 12-13; পায়ূ কাঁটা 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 12 - 14. Body grey to brown in color; head dark (Ref. 5320).

Benthic at 692-1420 m (Ref. 58302). Adults bathybenthic on continental slope and rise at temperatures generally warmer than 4°C while larvae are pelagic near the surface. Feeds on mysids and decapods. Synchronously hermaphroditic (Ref. 3590). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
