Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt) : 0; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt) : 29 - 34; Afterflossenstacheln: 0; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 30 - 36. Dorsal fin origin same level as anal fin. Body depth 3.2-3.5 x SL. Thick caudal peduncle, 2.6-3.8 x its length.

Females can produce as many as 9200 eggs (Ref. 10606).
