পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 0; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 18-19; পায়ূ কাঁটা 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 27 - 28. Petrocephalus congicus differs from P. haullevillii by a rosette of electroreceptor organs above the eye, which is absent in P. haullevillii (Ref. 91771).
