soft rays: 4. The esca of this species is characterized by the following: large, its height only 1.6 times as long as length of illicium; the length of illicium commensurate with length of its axonost; anterior process long, approximately 2.3 times longer than height of its bulb, multiply pinnately branching; central processes of esca (pair) close in bases, multiply filamentously branching from bases, the length of largest branches half as long as length of anterior process; no anterolateral and lateral processes; posterior process simple, filamentous, very long and thin, slightly (1.1 times) longer than the anterior process; no pigmented processes; terminal papilla high, conical, clearly defined, with oval intense black mark near front edge at its base (Ref. 123295).
