Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal): 37; Anale zachte stralen: 30; Wervels: 41. Coronal pore present, 1st temporal and 6th infraorbital pores absent, very small eye (13% HL), low gill slit, superior mouth, and pale skin.

Collected from a midwater trawl (Ref. 42989). Maximum length based on a juvenile specimen (Ref. 42989).
