Etymology: Pimelodella: Diminutive latinized of greek, pimele = fat + Greek, odous, odella = little teeth (Ref. 45335).
Issue
This species is uncertain in Eschmeyer (CofF ver. Jul. 2010: Ref. 84883), and is placed in Pimelodella. Please send references, or more studies are needed.
