體色 雌性與非繁殖期的雄性銀色的與 countershaded; 大的魚傾向有一個帶紫色的光輝,然而較小的一些更褐色; 吻通常灰色的具有紫色的光輝; 成熟的雄性有銀色的側面, 但是頭部，吻，背面，下巴，腹面與鰭黑色; 背鰭垂部白色; 3-5 白黃色或白色的 eggspots 在臀鰭上形成一列。 (參考文獻 55463)
