Adults are found in seaward reef slopes (Ref. 9710). Also in sheltered coral reefs along upper slopes. Usually seen singly or in loose groups (Ref. 48636). Diurnal species (Ref. 52881). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
