A benthic (Ref. 75154) and rare species that is probably benthopelagic (Ref. 34024). Adults inhabit the continental shelf (Ref. 7300, 75154). Reproductive strategy possibly similar to other members of this family featuring oviparity, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205). Rarely in markets (Ref. 34024).
