Body somewhat elongate, moderately compressed, with an arched dorsal profile; snout prominent; mouth small and inferior; lower jaw enclosed by upper; edge of preopercle serrate, with 8 to 10 strong spines at the angle; anal rays 8; lower branch of first gill with 13 to 15 gill rakers; body silvery, back darker; flanks without apparent stripes; fins charcoal gray; upper part of branchial cavity black spotted (Ref. 55763).
身體略微細長的﹐中等側扁, 有一個弓形的背面輪廓; 吻突出的; 嘴小而下方的; 下頜隔絕上面的; 前鰓蓋骨的邊緣鋸齒狀的, 以角 8 到 10個硬棘; 臀鰭鰭條 8; 具有 13 到 15個鰓耙的第一個鰓的低分支; 身體銀色的, 背面比較深色的; 沒有明顯的斑紋的側面; 鰭深灰色灰色; 鰓室的上半部黑色的有斑點的.(參考文獻 55763)
Found in shallow water but not common in estuaries with low salinities (Ref. 9118). Feeds on benthic invertebrates (Ref. 9118).
