Found in the Iberian Peninsula (Ref. 119049). Known from the Guadiana drainage; records from the middle Tago in Spain need verification (Ref. 59043). Reported from Ruidera Lakes (Ref. 27858). Fishery 1989: species subject to commercial fishing (Ref. 79582). Minimum capture size: 18-20 cm TL (Ref. 119049). Threatened due to habitat destruction, introductions of exotic predators (Ref. 79582) and water abstraction (Ref. 59043). Also Ref. 6376. Status of threat: Near threatened (Ref. 119049). |
