Known from Okinawa Trough (Ref. 13360). Collected from off Chiba Prefecture, Honshu (Ref. 559). Museum: Choshi, HUMZ 40082 (holotype, 69.7 cm TL, male) (Ref. 39431). Utilized for oil, human consumption and fishmeal or fish cakes (Ref. 244).
