Known from the following provinces: Córdoba (Primero, Segundo, Cuarto and Quinto Rivers); Santiago del Estero (Horcones River); Salta (Juramento River); Tucumán Province (Del Cajón, Calera, and Salí Rivers); also reported in Catamarca, Jujuy, Santa Fe (Carcarañá River) and San Luis (Ref. 121236).

Status of threat: Estimated values for criterion B were: EOO = 58.445 sq. km and AOO = 48 sq. km, thus, according to IUCN criteria this species can be categorized as a species of Least Concern (LC) (Ref. 121236).
