Known from Sumatra and Java (Ref. 7050). Used in traditional feast by Batak people of North Sumatra (Ref. 7050). In West Java, a number of ancient fish ponds are maintained, specifically in Kuningan where this is held to be sacred (Ref. 7050). Also Ref. 37786.
