Occurs in riveres and swamps of central to peninsular Thailand (Ref. 57235). Reported from Tale Noi (Phatthalung), Bung Boraphet (Nakhon Sawan), Songkhla and Surat Thani (Ref. 37773). Consumed as food because of its excellent taste and quality. Also exported as aquarium fish (Ref. 6459). Also Ref. 1739, 7050, 9987. |
