In Iraq it is recorded from the Shatt al Arab River and its tributaries, the southern marshes, rivers such as the Tigris, Euphrates, Little Zab and Diyala, some smaller streams, lakes such as Habbaniyah, Th arthar and Razzazah, the Al Faw Palace ponds at Baghdad, and reservoirs such as the Al-Hindiya Dam, Al Qadisiyah Dam Reservoir on the Euphrates and the Dukan and Derbendikhan dams (Ref. 109283). Type locality: Tigris R., Mosul, Iraq (Ref. 33021). In range Ref. 33304.
