Occurs in the northeast, central and southwest France. Is fished with any type of bait. Its flesh is not esteemed in France (Ref. 30578). Under threat because of competition with Carassius gibelio and also because of fluviatile annexes vanishing (Ref. 40476). Also Ref. 1739.
