Known from the Bia (Ref. 30488), Tano and Pra basins (Ref. 272, 57127). Reports from the Volta basin (Roberts 1976; Abban & Samman 1980) are unconfirmed (Ref. 43912, 57127). Type locality of the holotype of Eutropius mandibularis: "Bossumprah River, Gold Coast"; holotype destroyed (Ref. 43912). Type locality of the 3 syntypes of Eutropius mentalis: "Prah River, Gold Coast", originally identified as Eutropius congensis in Gunther 1899 (Ref. 43912). Also Ref. 3570, 13331. |
