Known from Goa along the west face of Western Ghats to Kerala (Ref. 41236). Recorded from Silent valley, Chalakkudy and Achankoil (Ref. 43641); Noolpuzha, Mavinhalla, Kerala (Ref. 44148); Moyar River, Tamil Nadu; Kabini River, Wynad (Ref. 44149). Also Ref. 4833, 45215, 45255.

Status of threat: Critically endangered (Ref. 50614).
