Found along the coast to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, including the Gulf of California north to Sonora, Mexico. (Ref. 6885, 35601). Catch season: August to October; minimum size: 15 cm SL; marketed fresh (whole), frozen, canned, or as fish meal (Ref. 26550). Also Ref. 96339.
