Known only from the Julian Lakes, Carters Lake, Lake Dudley, Lake Ada and Ada and Talinah Lagoons (Ref. 51305). Recorded from the western portion of Tasmania's central plateau, Ouse and Little Pine river (Ref. 44894). Also Ref. 7300, 38180.

Status of threat: to be listed as lower risk, near threatened (Ref. 51305).
