Occrus in the Mekong and Chao Phraya basins (Ref. 27732), as well as the Nan, Tachin, Bangpakong, Tapi and Mun (Ref. 32457) and Maeklong (Ref. 26336); also from Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Nakhon Sawan and Phichit (Ref. 37773). Popular game fish (Ref. 32457). Might be considered a protected species in the near future by the IUCN (Compagno pers. Comm.). Threatened due to overfishing (Ref. 58784).
