Type locality of the lectotype of Fundulus melanospilus: 'Zanzibar' (lectotype by Ref. 122075). Type locality of the holotype of Nothobranchius emini: 'Kongoran Botto [correctly Ikongoro], German East Africa' (Ref. 122075). Known from a vast area of eastern Tanzania (Ref. 122075), comprising Unguja Island, Zanzibar archipelago (Ref. 59344, 83514, 97257, 122075), and adjacent mainland coastal rivers (Ref. 122075), including Rufiji River (Ref. 59344, 83514, 97257, 122075), Ruhoi River (Ref. 83514), Mbezi River (Ref. 59344, 83514, 122075) and Ruvu River (Ref. 59344, 83514, 122075). Also reported from Mbwemkuru, Matandu, Wami, Pangani and Umba rivers (Ref. 59344, 83514, 97257). Also Ref. 83284, 97276, 97277.
