Common in the Bristol Channel, where catch rates attained 40 ind/hr. Occasionally caught in the English and St George’s Channels, with maximum recorded depth of 112 m. Juveniles were most common in the Bristol

Channel and especially in Carmarthen Bay (Ref. 82399).
