Specimen collected by Albatross sta. 6762 from Manila market (USNM 151228, an immature male specimen, 52 cm TL, Ref. 288 as Eulamia pleurotaenia); collected by motorship Spencer F. Baird from Gulf of Lingayen, Pangasinan Province, Luzon (as Carcharias pleurotaenia, male and female) (Ref. 280:20). Recorded from photos taken from Pasil Fish Port I, Cebu, 11 April 2000 (JPAG 305, female, size unkonwn), possibly this species, but without the black tip to the first dorsal (Ref. 47737). Also Ref. 244, 386, 9997.

Occurrence: Manila market; Lingayen Gulf, Pangasinan Province; Pasil Fish Port I, Cebu City; Sulu-Celebes Sea.
