The species has thus far been found only in brackish water habitats on O'ahu; first collected in Hawaii (9 specimens) in 1997 in Halawa Stream where it enters Pearl Harbor; in April 2000, another specimen was opbtained from Ala Wai Canal some 15 miles away from the site of first collection (Ref. 44091).
