Endemic to the Galapagos archipelago; observed from the Charles Darwin Research Station and the Tortuga Bay, Sta Cruz. Its divided eye and elongated body permits it to forage on crustaceans in the wet sections of the intertidal habitat during low tide, on the rocks and below the water line and in tide pools (Ref. 40844).
