Distribution:  South America: Bolivia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-8; Vertebrae: 24-24. This species can be distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: longer snout; deeper head, body and caudal peduncle; shorter pectoral fin; more scales in the E1 series; discontinuous longitudinal band, bars 5 and 6 not fused; preopercular spot; no coloration pattern on flank scales (Ref. 128932)
Biology:  This species inhabits streams and whitewater riverbanks (Ref. 128932).
