Espinas dorsales (total): 19 - 20; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 7-8; Espinas anales 2; Radios blandos anales: 14 - 16; Vértebra: 31 - 32. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: orbital cirrus absent; regular vertical brown bars on trunk separated by narrow white interspaces; well-defined horseshoe-shaped blotch of dark pigment on cheek (Ref. 86414).
