পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 14; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 9-10; পায়ূ কাঁটা 6-7; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 10 - 11; কশেরুকা : 24 - 26. A species of the C. congicum species group with characters typical of that assemblage. Within this group, C. milleri may be distinguished by the following characters: unusually low fin-spine counts for Ctenopoma (D XIV, A VI-VII), and a distinctive, mottled color pattern.
