背面の脊椎 (合計): 9 - 10; 背鰭 (合計): 15-16; 肛門の骨 0; 臀鰭: 14 - 16; 脊つい: 33 - 35. Olive or brownish in color, becomes red when stressed; lower half of the inner part of pectoral fin with large black blotch surrounded by numerous pale spots (Ref. 9771).
