পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 11; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 26-31; পায়ূ কাঁটা 2; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 7. Body silvery, everywhere so clouded with brown dots as to quite obscure the ground color; pectoral and pelvic fins pale (Ref. 9772).

Inhabits shallow coastal waters, estuaries and rivers (Ref. 9772).
