Radios blandos dorsales (total): 93-96; Radios blandos anales: 75 - 79. Developed gill raker 10-11. Head and body fully covered with scales. Operculum with a sharp, strong spine. Preoperculum with 2 small spines at the lower angle (Ref. 43544).
