Marine; bathypelagic; oceanodromous (Ref. 51243); depth range 90 - 1600 m (Ref. 58426), usually 250 - 850 m (Ref. 82363). Boreal; 70°N - 40°N, 65°W - 12°E
Arctic to Atlantic Ocean: south of about 70°N to 47°N in the eastern sector and to about 40°N in the western sector.
