This species has the following characters: D I + I + 9, A 6, P 17, V I + 5, C I + 3 + 3 + I; massive body, flattened, but not strongly compressed dorsoventrally; 2 filiform illicia on the head, with the anterior one much longer; spines on head low, blunt, and covered with skin; dermal outgrowths on the skin; body brown with light patterned shadows (Ref. 81023)
