Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 28-31; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 7; Vertebrae: 25. Swim bladder hammer-shaped with a series of arborescent appendages along its sides. Lower jaw with a row of enlarged teeth. Jaws short. Last pleural rib on the 11th vertebra.

Found in muddy and sandy-muddy bottoms (Ref. 43239).
