It is likely that most spawning (of Queensland stocks) occurs in the Northeast Torres Strait (Ref. 30572). East coast spawning is restricted to reef areas east of Ingham (18-19°S), in October and November (Ref. 30572). Peak spawning is restricted to high tidal flow rates associated with new and full moon periods (Ref. 30572). Feeding behaviour resumes immediately after spawning (Ref. 30572). |
