Voprosy Ikhtiologii v. 44: 607-612. [In Russian].
Abstract: The new species of argentinid fish Argentina brasiliensis sp. nova from the shelf waters of Brazil belonging to the group of elongata is described. It differs from the representatives of this group by a combination of the following characters: 7 rakers on ceratobranchiale of the first branchial arch, 17-18 rays of the pectoral fin, 11-12 rays of the ventral fin, 51-53 (usually 52) scales of the lateral line, 50-52 (usually 51) vertebrae. |
