This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: dorsal and anal fins possess two unbranched rays; pseudobranchial filaments 21-25; upper series of gill rakers 22-26 (22, 24) on 1st gill arch, lower 29-33 (30, 31), total 51-59 (54); upper series of gill rakers 15-16 (16) on 2nd gill arch, lower 26-29 (263), total 42-45 (42); upper series of gill rakers 12-14 (12) on 3rd gill arch, lower 14-15 (14), total 26-29 (26); upper series of gill rakers 9-11 (11) on 4th gill arch, lower 10-12 (11), total 19-23 (22); prepelvic scutes 3-6 (4); posterior tip of the upper jaw not reaching to anterior margin of preopercle; length of first unbranched dorsal-fin ray 6.8-7.9% of SL (Ref. 116573). |
