Diagnosis

Rhodeus albomarginatus is distinguished from congeners by its unique white margin on the anal fin in adult males (vs. black margin). It also differs from other congeners by having 10 branched rays on dorsal fin, 10-11 branched rays on anal fin, i,6 pelvic-fin rays, 33-34 vertebrae (mode 33), and in adult males, iris black, belly reddish-orange and central part of caudal fin red (Ref. 95613).
