Diagnosis

Diagnosis: mouth inferior; barbels absent; lateral line incomplete; 9-11 perforated scales in lateral line; 10 circumpeduncular scales; clearly visible black line on snout and sides (Ref. 81639).

Description: small-sized with relatively elongated body and large eye; scales with divergent striae; 4.5 scales between lateral line and dorsal fin origin; 4.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly; 27 scales in longitudinal series; 3 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertion; D:III,8; A:III,5; P:15; V:10; dorsal fin border concave, last simple ray fine, not serrated, as long as head (Ref. 81639).

Coloration: black line along middle of body continuing onto snout and caudal fin; black spot at point of insertion of anal fin; fins colourless (Ref. 81639).
