A black, midlateral stripe, narrow anteriorly and regularly widening posteriorly (width 1.5-2.0 scale rows), extending onto median caudal rays; in life, the body is silvery to bluish with a dark blue blotch on the caudal fin and the posterior part of the caudal peduncle (Ref. 27732). |
