Description: Characterized by mottled brown to reddish brown color, often with whitish snout and interorbital, white blotch on upper side; irregular whitish bar across anterior caudal peduncle; basal portion of caudal fin with pale bar; deeply incised spinous portion of dorsal ray membranes; dorsal fin origin above centre of eye; two spines on lacrimal, short anterior one directed ventrally; posterior directed backward; strong spine on border of preoperculum; depth of body 2.5-2.9 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
