Comments: | Species is known to spend some time in saline waters, and may undertake migrations (poorly known). The number of reported occurrences in the wild in England are increasing. Sterlet found in a gravel pit off the M25 (London Heathrow area) by K.J. Wesley in 1986. (Gordon Copp, pers. comm., Oct. 18, 2006). Recorded from Surrey, Dorset and Hertfordshire (Ref. 101394).
