Comments | Founding stock consisted of 94 fish of which 83 survived transportation. During the war, only one female and two males remained. Induced breeding was however successful. Not economically viable as it requires high protein feeds in culture systems. The Vietnamese catfish however is becoming an important cultured fish species at present in Vietnam.
