Comments | Introduced in 1958; breeding populations established in reservoirs of Mauai and Oahu islands (Ref. 1739). Reported to have been imported from the Congo (Ref. 1972). Apparently the 'Congolese form' of O. macrochir has been introduced (Ref. 364)(which may be O. mweruensis (see Ref. 2, 33478)). Also Ref. 13364. Ref: Maciolek, J.A., 1984 |
