Definition of Term

asymptotic threshold concentration
(English) The concentration of poison at which some specific proportion of a test population shows itself to be in a state of approximate homeostasis for some prolonged period of time (but not necessarily absolutely); demonstrated as the concentration at which the toxicity curve is approximately or effectively asymptotic to the time axis.
