Remarks: | The disease occurs in drastic and rapid change in the fish's evironment; different water values like ph, hardness or temperature. Improper acclimation with imported fish, and long packaging times can also be a cause. Fish that have been injected with dyes to look more attractive. After 5 to 7 days the fish copuld develop secondary bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections or the fish may slowly waste away. Wild caught fish is more sensitive to this problem. | |
