Goals and Objectives: The Basel Convention provides guidelines for the establishment of instruments and policies for the management and control of the transboundary movement of hazardous wastes. Strictly regulates the transboundary movements of hazardous wastes and provides obligations of its Parties to ensure that such wastes are managed and disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
