Abundance: fairly common (chances are about 50%) 
Comments: Occurs in the Strait of Georgia, off the west coast of Vancouver Island, Johnstone Strait, and Milbanke Sound (Ref. 4925). Utilized as a food fish by Chinese immigrants (Ref. 4925). Recorded from Howe Sound (Ref. 91783). In range Ref. 2850.
